![]() That early Guttermouth influence is prominent in their lyrics as well as their sound, referring to themselves as "Humorcore", talking about everything from getting raped by a girl and mom not letting him get a tattoo to more serious matters like the police and abortion. The riffs are simple, 3-chord progressions usually, fast drumming and fast vocals that aren't really shouted but aren't sang either, kind of a nice mix. This is Party Punk that sounds like a sexy mix of State of Shock, and the few other mid-late 90's material, by the great D.I., and the classic Guttermouth album The Album Formerly Known As Full Length LP. ![]() You can definitely hear the So-Cal style in the White Kaps sound, there's no doubt as to where they come from or from what era. ![]() Maddox took up Vocal duties, Bob the founder/owner of Fearless Records was the vocalist and started Fearless simply to release a White Kaps record that was never actually released, instead they put out Salad Daze.) a few 7'' records, an EP on Hopeless and a slew of Compilation releases (Punk Sucks comp, The Fearless Flush, Welcome To Califuknia, etc). White Kaps were (maybe still are) a Punk band from southern California who put out 2 Full Length CD's all on the once great Fearless Records (actually before K.C. Yep, more 90's stuff, since that is pretty much all I listen to.
